Hewitt's syllabus for students enrolled in Hewitt's high-school program uses Saxon Algebra 1/2: Third Edition. This course is a review of the arithmetic fundamentals and an introduction to the concepts of algebra. It is intended as a general math course for high-school students or a first-year course in a two-year Algebra-1 sequence.
The syllabus shows "Objectives and Text," "Organizing Your Study," "Quarterly Assignments and Reporting," and "Grading Criteria" for enrolled students. A daily schedule has been added in the Third Edition of the syllabus which could make the syllabus useful for students who are not enrolled in Hewitt. However, the quarterly tests in it differ from those in the Saxon Solutions/test book and are for enrolled students to take and return to us for grading (i.e., the answers to these tests are NOT in the Syllabus).
