This second level in the series encourages the student to group words by their Latin and Greek roots. Understanding of our own language will be greatly enhanced. The groups of words categorized by their Latin and Greek roots in this level address these topics: Action (motion, position, joining, separating) and Responding (sight, other senses, emotions, shapes of things). Sixteen lessons contain Latin and Greek roots, key vocabulary words built from these roots (with pronunciation, definitions, and sentences showing usage), additional challenge words, exercises to test understanding, and additional activities. Each lesson could easily take between one and two weeks, making a year's course. A teacher's guide and answer key and tests are available.
