We are pleased to offer this alternative to Writers INC during the high school years for more advanced and college-bound students. Similar in format to
Writers INC, Write for College covers the writing process, basic elements of writing, forms of writing, and tools of learning. However, it concentrates more on types of papers students can expect to be assigned in college such as essays, literary analyses, and research papers. There are also sections specific to college prep such as "Building a College-Sized Vocabulary" and "Succeeding in College." The teacher's guide would be especially helpful to non-enrolled students. The hadbook has a proofreader's guide and index, along with an almanac which has tables, lists, maps, and a copy of the U.S. Consitution.
