Throughout the year, the student will choose from a variety of writing projects, completing approximately six to eight assignments per quarter, in addition to one book report each quarter. Recommended (not required) literature for book reports at a regular reading level for Grade 9 are

Write for College.
Hewitt's high-school syllabi are written with our enrolled students in mind. Students not enrolled in our program would not find the math, science, or health syllabi helpful; but other syllabi, such as our English ones, could prove helpful to parents/students working on their own. Syllabi do not include answer keys, and submitted work is not graded except for enrolled students.
